The World’s Most Dangerous Dart League

The World’s Most Dangerous Dart League

Nov 5, 2010

When you’re in the U.S. navy and you’re deployed thousands of miles away from home on board one of the world’s most sophisticated and powerful war machines ever built, what do you do in your spare time?

Play darts, of course.

At least that’s what the crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln, a Nimitz-class Aircraft Carrier does, and now with the help of YourLeagueStats.com

With only 5 teams, but with names like Scurvy Knaves, Sea Legs’ , Flying Dutchmen, Scallywags and Keel-Hauled, we think Dart-for-Dart, they’ve also got the best team names we’ve come across yet.

Started a little over a month ago, we’re looking forward to watching them grow. And while they may be the only dart league aboard an active duty ship, in the US Navy at least, with an onboard population of nearly 5,600, we’re sure they’ll have little trouble adding teams and players.
While on active duty in the Persian Gulf, these dart-friendly sailors can be in the middle of hostile action at any moment. Let’s all wish them a safe voyage.

The Abraham Lincoln Dart League are members of the American Darters Association (ADA) and are using the Premium version of YourLeagueStats.com which is free for the military.
